Dr. Leena Khanzode

Expert in Child and Adolescent Mental Health

I am trained in both Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry from Stanford Hospital and Clinics. I am also an experienced Board certified Psychiatrist.I provide quality,evidence based treatment to help individuals and families overcome difficulties and lead happier, more productive lives. I believe in a holistic approach to address your concerns through careful evaluation and psychotherapy and medication management. I offer treatment including both psychotherapy and medication management, for a wide variety of psychiatric disorders for all ages including Children, Adolescents and Adults. I provide Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Interpersonal therapy (IPT, Mindfulness based CBT, family therapy and Parent training.

I have a special interest in Mood disorders, anxiety disorder, ADHD and parent training for parents with kids who have been diagnosed with ADHD. I have expertise in managing Pediatric Bipolar disorder due to the privilege of an extensive clinical and research experience in the Pediatric Mood disorders clinic at Stanford.I have trained in psychiatry both in India and USA.Based on the special privilege of training in the West and the East, I have developed a broad cultural perspective combined with a healthy respect for the biological dimension of Psychiatry. I strive to serve immigrant and bicultural families.

I am founder and President of a Non- profit - Taarika Foundation, whose mission is to create youth mental health awareness, reduce stigma and improve social emotional skills in children and teens.
